Binghamton, NY -- On Friday Hakeem Jeffries, an open border activist and antisemite apologist, will campaign in Binghamton for DC Insider Josh Riley. Congressman Marc Molinaro released the following statement reacting to the news:
“Josh Riley is welcoming Hakeem Jeffries to Binghamton, bringing with him a record of defending antisemitism and extreme policies that threaten public safety. Jeffries knows Riley will be a rubber stamp for him on open borders, cashless bail, and anti-police agendas. The stakes couldn’t be clearer: a vote for Josh Riley is a vote against safe communities and secure borders."
Background:
Antisemite apologist: Jeffries’s uncle, Leonard Jeffries Jr., came under fire for giving a speech that claimed Jews played a role in financing the slave trade and that they destroyed the image of African Americans through control of Hollywood. In response to the criticism, Hakeem Jeffries defended the antisemitism and the criticism of his uncle "a media lynching complete with character assassinations and inflammatory erroneous accusations.”
Open border activist: Hakeem Jeffries voted no on and led the opposition against the Secure the Border Act because it funded a border wall.
Defund the police Democrat: In May 2020 during the pandemic, Jeffries declared that the Justice Department should “release all medically vulnerable inmates.” Jeffries also voted against the defund the police movement and against legislation to prohibit criminals with outstanding warrants from receiving Social Security benefits.
